Spiced up the webpage. Added BuildCraft to the server as well. Will get a list of dependencies added to the Mod list eventually.

Running the latest Industrial Craft (IC2) on the 1.2.5 server. Needs the player modifications to work, else it will likely fail to accept your client.

I have been noticing a performance issue client-side related to the ticks for electricity transmission... server is barely working at all. It may be caused by my crappy lappy being the only device I actually play Minecraft on... This is something I didn't run into with the older versions, so maybe it's a newly introduced performance bug.

Server is up. Will follow the normal startup and shutdown schedule, unless otherwise noted. If Mkava doesn't want the server up, for whatever reason, it will be announced it is shutting down before the actual shutdown. This is a free, for-fun server.. so if it inhibits Mkava's other habits of Netflix, playing online games besides Minecraft, or otherwise taking all of his RAM.. Minecraft will take the hit instead. Be so warned. Thanks.

Server is coming back up with latest Bukkit and some new plugins to have fun with. CraftIRC bot will be back in #minecraft on NFNet soon as well.

Coming here to play Minecraft but realize it isn't up and annoyed? Well, stuff sucks, dude.

The reason this Minecraft server has not been up in months is due to memory constraints and finally the entire lack of ability to forward ports to the machine running the multiplayer server. Matt is also moving in the coming weeks, away from a poor situation, and will likely be able to host the entire Minecraft server on another machine without issue after the move. Move information will appear in the IRC channel and here then.

Also, remember that this is a free run-for-fun server. When more time needs to be taken to secure it and update it than is reasonable, it won't be either of those two and becomes shutdown since an unsecured or otherwise public service is a liability, which has been shown by the constant numerous hacking and security breach events in the last few months and years.

Nonetheless, check back in August. WoW and many other things keep Matt busy currently, but Minecraft might make a resurgence sometime soon. Until then. =]

If this server is not up during the usual hours, it's likely due to either:

1. Mkava wants to use his ram for something else.
2. Server plugins are out of date and Mkava shut off the server in lieu of having to actually update them.
3. The automated startup/shutdown script for the server borked.. and Mkava hasn't fixed it yet.
4. Mkava shut off the server so it wouldn't distract him from school work (such as his compiler project, his 'Software Engineering' project, or his Intro to GameDev project).

All in all, it's all my fault for it not being up most likely. If you have an issue with that and want to play here, ask me and I'll likely put it back up. Easy as that.

Also, #minecraft on NFNet is where to ask and such. The server's chatbot, Craft (or something like that), will be in that channel too when the server is up.

Mkava's server, this one, will be shutting down at 3am Central time every night and starting up again at 9am. This is to reduce the memory usage that accumalates daily and to not allow people to keep playing throughout the night, for heatlh worries mostly. There will be automated messages warning when the server will be going down.
